Color Guide: Comic Style The Winter Soldier

This Color Guide is for Comic Style The Winter Soldier for Marvel Crisis Protocol.

As I researched the color scheme for The Winter Soldier I found I had about 3 choices. I could go all black similar to his first movie appearance, blue pants/shirt, or a light brown pants. I Felt the dark blue was more characteristic of his first appearance in the Out of Time story arch in Captain America.

As for as the building of the model there is no big issues and everything went together nicely. You can also fully build him and them paint him. His weapon does cover a bit of his chest but I had room to get a little shading in that area. My biggest issues with the model is the mask around his neck. I felt they missed a huge opportunity to include an alternate Head. I would have loved the option to have a masks less head like the one it came with, but also the masked version. It is small things like this that would make the line of models much more interesting.

Color Guide Purpose: To give painters a lists of paints that can be used to achieve a specific look on their miniatures.  The actual techniques I use can me modified based on the painters skill and desired effect. The hope is to save hobbyist time by providing examples of paint combinations they can use, eliminating the trial and error of finding the correct colors.
