Color Guide: Nighthaunt. Reikenor and Lord of Shrouds on Ethereal Steed

Howdy Y’all TheJTJ here with a little painting guide for Nighthaunt.

After wrapping up my Tzeentch army last month I wanted to get back to just painting some random models I have in my, “primed and ready to paint cabinet”. I usually roll and some dice to help me pick out a random model to paint. Incredibly the last few random models I rolled were both of my Nighthaunt Horsemen.

Like with many of my models I like to find a balance between a good table top quality paint scheme and something that is time efficient to paint.

I used the same general color scheme that I had used on the rest of the Nighthaunts I have painted in the past. I like to think they came from the same graveyard or that they were summoned by the same caster and this gave them all a similar appearance. I like to make all my ghost have a good mix of corporal and incorporeal parts. Many of the techniques and colors I used to paint these modes were found on Warhammer TV, or in old issues of White Dwarf.

In the Color Guide Article I list the colors used on various parts to give painters a resource to find a color scheme they like without having to go through a trial and error approach. I do not go into detail on techniques, the focus in primarily on give hobbyist some reference when starting out on a new scheme/model.

The hope is to save hobbyist time by providing examples of paint combinations they can use, eliminating the trial and error of finding the correct colors.

Thanks for Reading, Y’all be good.
