Hobby Update: Soulsnare Shackles

The endless spell models are one of the reasons I got into Age of Sigmar. When I thinking of how I wanted to paint these my first thought was to use non-metallic metals, but then I was looking at some Green Stuff World products and got really interested in try the Colorshift metal paints. Once I decided I was going to use color shift my first thougth was to just pick the one I thought would look the best and use it on all of the models, to make them match. However I could not resist making them all diffrent colors to see how they would come out.

You do not get the full effect of the color shift from the pictures, you have to see it in person. I also think that large rounded areas work the best for the paint. I used about 8 coats of air brush to acheave the color, I could have proably just done 4-6 and been fine, but I wanted to see what it would do with many layers.

Things I like about the paint: looks good and does have a good effect on the models. Did not gunk up the airbrush.

Things I did not like: Has some potent fuems, “I usually do not wear any facemask when airbrusing, for this I had to get out my 3M spraypaint mask”. Takes a good bit of paint to coat the model.

All in all I liked how they came out.
