Soulblight Gravelords Warscroll Review: Radukar The Wolf, The Beast

In this video TheJTJ reviews the Warscroll for Radukar The Wolf and the Beast.  I cover their abilities and discuss some tactics for each.

Radukar the Wolf

  • Cost
    • 150
  • Notes:
    • Vampire
    • Vyrkos Dynasty
    • Vampire Lord
    • Hero
    • Wizard
    • Now can be purchased separate from the Cursed City set.
  • The Good
    • 7 wounds
    • Only 150 points
    • Slightly better in CC an Vampire Lord
  • The Bad
    • Call to the hunt needs him to charge
    • 4+ is not that great
    • Loyal to the last needs to you to take the Cursed City units.
  • Thoughts
    • His command ability is great, but you have to charge with him. That put him in harms way and he is not the most tanky unit in the book. You could use him as a missile to charge in, Pop call to the hunt, buff all your units and then hope he survives.
    • Not a bad unit, but I may take Vampire Lord with enhancements over Radukar.
    • Works better when you take all the Cursed City Units.
  • Unit Rating
    • B-
      • I think I would rather have Vampire Lord in most cases.

Radukar the Beast

  • Cost
    • 315
  • Notes:
    • Vampire
    • Hero
    • Vyrkos Dynasty
    • Vampire Lord
    • Not a Wizard
    • General In Addition
  • Max wound output:
    • 30
  • Average wound output:
    • 9
    • Good damage potential.
      • When he spikes it is very Very good damage output.
  • The Good
    • Run and still Charge
    • 12 wounds, 4+ 6++, The Hunger, -1 to all hits. Very tanky… don’t forget to Use the hero ability to heal d3 also.
    • Call to the hunt is better on him, than the Wolf
    • 10 Free Dire Wolves – 135 value, making his cost more like 180!!
    • Good damage output
  • The Bad
    • Not a wizard
    • 315 is a big upfront cost.
    • Not a wizard
  • Thoughts
    • Good damage output, can run him on a flank or center of your army.
    • Call to the Hunt works better for him because he is more survivable than wolf. Plus run and charge
    • Very resilient.
    • All around a fun unit to include in your army.
    • I think I like him on a flank with a few units of Wolves or Blood Knights.
  • Unit Rating
    • A
    • If he was a wizard and or just a little faster he would be an A+
    • +1 wound for his wolves “the strength of the pack is the wolf”
