Hobby Update: Bloodthirster of Unfettered Fury

The Second Bloodthirster for my Tyrants of Blood is complete. The last few games I have played I have ran him as my general. I feel the Unfettered Fury is a great utility Bloodrthirster.

Tactics: His command ability Rejoice in the Slaughter is a great command ability. Not only does it let you get closer to that unit that was being screened by chaff, but it will let you circumvent many ability if you play it right, “Locus of Diversion”. Having a shooting attack is always nice to knock a wound off here and there, and it can do a good bit of damage to units with its max of 12 wounds. The damage output from him in combat is more stable compared to the Rage Thirster, but it has a much lower max damage. When you add in his other Abilities Drawn in for the Kill,”Skaven, Skinks”, and The Land Rebels he becomes a very nice all purpose monster. Keep in mind like any Thirster they can be shot off the board, or taken out in a single round of combat. If you are not running him has your general, look at using Artifacts that make him more durable, like: Gryph-feather Charm, Ignax’s Scales, Ethereal Amulet, Lens of Refraction.  Or something that increases is utility: Ghyrropian Gauntlets, “9 inch pile in with his command ability?”, Trickster’s Helm.

This kit has a very dynamic pose, and the whip gives it great movement. I did plastic glue the whip together to add a little strength. I also am a bit torn about the decorative parts that hang off the wing. I like the look of them, however they tend to move around a good bit.
