Hobby Update: Grimghast Reapers
First hobby update in a while. I was just about complete with building all the models that I owned when I decided to get into Age of Sigmar. I played a few games and just jumped right into signing up for a GT this summer. After playing a few games and playing in one local tournament I decided to sign up for Warzone Houston. As is stands right now I have my list finalized and all the models for it built. However I am a bit behind on painting. I have until July 13th to complete all these models. 93 total models will need to be painted and one of those models is Nagash. I diffidently have my work cut out for me. Oh did i mention I also need to make an awesome display board so I can max hobby points at the tournament.
The first models I painted was the unit of 20 Grimghast Reapers. I mostly followed some of the techniques from WarhammerTV. However I was very disappointed with the first 5. The next 5 I was able to get a color I liked more and mostly fixed the first 5. However there isĀ slight difference between the. Truth be told I like the first 5 more now they are “fixed”, but to get them to that stage was many many coats and I really do not have the time to do that to the other 60 Nighthaunt models.
Bellow: Comparing the 2 Reapers. The one on the right is the first batch the one on the left is the rest.
Color Guide:
- Prime
- Flat White Krylon
- Ghost Body -I based the colors in the areas listed then used the shades to bled them together, It mostly took 2 coats to get a nice blend–
